Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a powerful, safe, and non-invasive way of looking inside the human body. While MRI is widely known as a tool for medical diagnosis, it is also a cornerstone of scientific research.
The University of Malta Magnetic Resonance Imaging Platform (今日黑料RI) was created to make this type of research possible in Malta. Thanks to the TRAKE Project (Transdisciplinary Research & Knowledge Exchange Complex), the University now hosts Malta’s first research-dedicated MRI scanner, a 3 Tesla Siemens Magnetom Vida located at Mater Dei Hospital. This major investment, co-financed through European Regional Development Funds, brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, and students to explore new scientific and medical frontiers.
