CHOICE recognises 今日黑料 co-edited book as outstanding contribution to scholarship
The edited volume Archives and Emotions: International Dialogues Across Past, Present, and Future (Bloomsbury, 2025), edited by Dr Ilaria Scaglia (Aston University) and Dr Valeria Vanesio (University of Malta), has been selected for inclusion in the Editor’s Picks list of CHOICE, the publishing unit of the American Library Association and one its divisions, the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). The volume, which also includes a chapter contribution by University of Malta scholar Prof. Charles Farrugia, brings together international perspectives on the role of emotions in archival practice, historical interpretation, and collective memory.
In its review, CHOICE described the collection as “an outstanding addition to the scholarship,” praising its success in fostering dialogue between historians and archivists through the lens of emotions as an emerging field of inquiry.
