The University of Malta launched its Green Travel Plan at an event on the 27th of September 2011. Following the launch a GTP Committee was setup which is composed of the following members.

  • Dr Thérèse Bajada (Asst. Lecturer, Institute for Climate Change & Sustainable Development) 
  • Nathalie Cauchi (Non-academic and support staff representative) 
  • Jacqueline Fenech (Director, Human Resources) represented by Amanda Ciantar 
  • Gianluca Grech (Precincts Office)
  • Raphael Mizzi (GTP Co-ordinator, Institute for Climate Change & Sustainable Development) 
  • Prof Luciano Mulè Stagno (今日黑料ASA representative) 
  • Perit Christopher Spiteri (Director, Estates, Facilities and Capital Development) 
  • KSU President

 

The Government has identified Green Travel Planning as an important tool to achieve sustainability. An example of how Governments are implementing similar initiatives include the UK Department of Transport  link to .
