Event: The Working Filmmaker - A Masterclass
Date: Friday 06 November 2026
Time: 17:00-20:00
Venue: Room 414, MAKS
The Department of Media and Communications, within the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences, is thrilled to be hosting two Masterclasses with the writer, director, producer and financier Timothy Scott Bogart. Mr Bogart is a filmmaker who has been working in the entertainment business for the past 30 years, on projects that have starred names such as Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris, Jason Isaacs, Rebel Wilson, Sir Derek Jacobi and Wiz Khalifa (please see more info on the filmmaker, and his work below).
The Masterclasses will be held on Friday 6 November and Tuesday 10 November from 17:00 - 20:00, both dates. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are welcome to register for the masterclasses here. Mr Bogart is also keen to hear your project ideas, and he will discuss these in class, providing valuable insight on how to bring them to reality. You can apply with a project through the registration link, but you do not need a project to join the sessions. You can also choose to come to only one of the sessions, should you not be available for both, although we do encourage you to take advantage of this rare opportunity.
