Public Lecture - landscape of inclusive education and assistive technology in Cyprus

The Department of Disability Studies is pleased to invite you to an upcoming public lecture presented by Prof. Katerina Mavrou on the landscape of inclusive education and assistive technology in Cyprus.

This lecture will be delivered in person and  provide a comprehensive overview of how inclusion is understood, organized, and implemented within the Cypriot education system. Drawing on recent research projects, the talk will highlight emerging technological advances that support inclusive learning environments.

Through a real-world case study, Prof. Mavrou will address key questions regarding:

• The participation and integration of children with disabilities in mainstream education.
• Classroom organization, classroom support, and the practical use of assistive technology.
• The evolving roles of teachers and educational professionals.
• The provision of specialized and multidisciplinary support.
