AASTMT Dean visits University of Malta through Erasmus+
Dr Sandra Haddad, Associate Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management and Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics, Alamein Campus, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egypt, recently completed an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) Training Mobility at the University of Malta.
The training mobility provided an opportunity to strengthen academic ties between the two institutions and explore new avenues for collaboration in higher education, research, staff and student mobility, and joint academic initiatives.
During her visit, Dr Haddad met with the University's senior leadership, deans, and faculty members to exchange best practices, discuss opportunities for future cooperation, and foster stronger institutional links. She also attended the inauguration ceremony of Prof. Frank Bezzina, Rector of the University of Malta, as part of the University's official programme.
One of the principal outcomes of the mobility was the successful facilitation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Malta and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).
The agreement was officially signed by Prof. Frank Bezzina, Rector of the University of Malta, and Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of AASTMT, establishing a framework for long-term collaboration in education, research, innovation, and international academic exchange.
The Erasmus+ Training Mobility further reinforced the shared commitment of both institutions to internationalisation and laid the foundation for future collaborative projects that will benefit students, faculty, and the wider academic community.
