The 鈥淓uropean-Arab Cooperation Forum on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities鈥 is inviting students, early career researchers and authors to submit abstracts of academic or policy papers and research posters Under to be presented in an academic conference scheduled for December 2022.
The theme of the event will be independent living and integration in the community, a right enshrined in Article 19 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The accepted papers will be published by the Cooperation Forum following the conference.
Submissions can focus on one or more of the following topics:
- Concepts, theories and skills related to independent living
- Transitions
- De-institutionalization
- Use of technology and innovation
- Policies
- Community-based inclusive development (CBID) approaches
- Progressive realization
- Services
- Family
- Public opinion
- Linkages.
Researchers are invited to submit their paper or research poster abstracts, in Arabic or English to Fathia Abdel Fadil from ESCWA by no later than 30 April 2022.
