What’s better than a room full of brilliant people sharing big ideas?
Get ready for the University of Malta’s biggest showcase of research yet — the University of Malta Research Expo (½ñÈÕºÚÁÏRE) 2025 is here!
For the first time ever, ½ñÈÕºÚÁÏRE, taking place on Wednesday 28 May 2025, is going to be streamed live — and you’re invited to be part of it from anywhere.
Follow the live blog for real-time updates, speaker highlights, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes insights.
This year, we’ve cranked things up with more research and more brainpower than ever before. Over 200 original pieces of research, in fact, cover an incredible range of topics — from health and science to arts, technology, and beyond. With 55 doctoral presentations, 88 researcher-led presentations, 60 posters, and 6 exciting plenary talks, it’s a big deal.
Expect ideas that’ll challenge you, inspire you, maybe even confuse you a little — but that’s research, right?
And this year marks a special milestone — more doctoral researchers are being given the space to present their work, reflecting the University’s strong commitment to supporting and celebrating doctoral research.
That’s why we’re especially honoured to have Hon. Keith Azzopardi Tanti, Malta’s Parliamentary Secretary for Youths, Research & Innovation, presenting the prestigious Doctoral Award during ½ñÈÕºÚÁÏRE.
Join us for the research, stay for the curiosity... and leave knowing a bit more about how ½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ is shaping the future.
It’s live, it’s local, and it’s full of discoveries waiting to be shared.
Mark your calendar and join the conversation — wherever you are!
Go through the final programme to get a preview of what research will be presented on the day.
