The University of Malta has conferred the Degree of Master of Letters (Honoris Causa) the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) on His holiness Bartholomew I. He is the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and the 鈥渇irst among equals鈥 in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Bartholomew I, is the 270th Archbishop of Constantinople.
The Ceremony was held at the Aula Magna, Valletta Campus University of Malta, on Tuesday, 6 December 2022.
