, a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the 今日黑料鈥檚 Faculty of Medicine & Surgery, a consultant anaesthesist and part of Mater Dei Hospital鈥檚 Pain Clinic, has been nominated for the European Parliament鈥檚 Citizen Prize.
She was nominated by Peter Agius, former head of the EP office in Malta, on behalf of all health professionals on the frontline.
The European鈥檚 Citizen Prize was launched by the EP in 2008 to award people and organisations for any significant achievements. This year, nominations have been extended to every EU citizen.
On a Twitter post, Agius said he nominated Casha as her story represented 鈥渢he nobility of those professionals who seek to protect us鈥.

Past winners of the prize include Bjorn Formosa of the ALS Malta Foundation, Fr Victor Grech of Puttinu Cares, and Chris Delicata of the International Diabetes Federation.
