The 10th European Public Health (EPH) Conference 鈥淪ustaining resilient and healthy communities鈥 held in Stockholm (Sweden) between 1-4 November 2017 attracted over 2000 participants and is now the premier event for public health and health systems research in Europe. The conference was organized by the European Public Health Conference Foundation, the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) and the Swedish Association of Social Medicine. Dr Natasha Azzopardi Muscat, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Health Services Management is the President of the European Public Health Association.
The University of Malta was strongly represented by with a delegation consisting of Dr Natasha Azzopardi Muscat (President EUPHA), Dr Neville Calleja (Director Department Health Information & Research, Ministry of Health), Dr Juilian Mamo (Head of Department Public Health), Dr John Cachia (Commissioner for Health), Dr Normal Buttigieg (Lecturer Department for Nursing Services) Dr Gisella Orsini (Lecturer Department for Gender Studies) and Dr Gianpaolo Tomaselli (Research Support Officer Department of Health Services Management).

As President of EUPHA Dr Azzopardi Muscat organised and moderated the Plenary Session entitled 鈥Winds of Change: from public to private, from collective to individual. How can public health systems adapt to a changing world?鈥 She also addressed two other plenary sessions on 鈥淧ublic Health Leaderhsip鈥 and 鈥淪uccessful health innovation: from the what to the how鈥.
The next EPH Conference on the topic 鈥淲inds of change: towards new ways of improving public health in Europe鈥 will be held in Ljubljana (Slovenia) between 28 November - 1 December 2018.
