Drammaturgi: Malta’s playwrights in conversation

Theatre remains a vibrant part of Malta’s cultural life, yet for years questions have been raised about the number of new Maltese playwrights and new works reaching the stage.

Through interviews and conversations, the series will explore this debate by looking back at developments in Maltese theatre in the recent past while, above all, meeting the playwrights who are writing for today’s audiences.

The series will delve into their work, inspirations and challenges, while also exploring their views on the present state and future direction of Maltese theatre.
