MFSA & ½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ collaborate to launch a MSc in Financial Regulation & Compliance

After launching a postgraduate diploma in Financial Regulation & Compliance in 2024, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and the University of Malta’s Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA), the two have now further launched a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Regulation and Compliance.

The course will commence in October 2026, and the programme has been developed to provide professionals with the advanced knowledge, practical competencies, and strategic insight required to navigate financial regulation, compliance, governance, risk management, financial crime prevention, sustainable finance, and emerging regulatory challenges.

Designed for financial services practitioners, as well as graduates seeking to specialise in financial regulation and compliance, the course combines academic study with practical insights from industry experts, providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and real-world perspectives.

FEMA Dean, Prof. Simon Grima, highlighted the importance of continuous professional development, stating: “Lifelong learning is the foundation of excellence in financial services. As the sector continues to evolve, ongoing development is essential to ensure that professionals remain equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate new challenges and opportunities.”

Applications are now open, with the first intake commencing in October 2026.
