Malta University Press launches double volume publication

Malta University Press (MUP), together with the editors, Prof. John Anthony Berry and Rev. Dr Kevin Schembri, launched Beyond Certainty: Reimagining Faith in a Changing World, a two-volume publication dedicated to former University of Malta academic , in recognition of his contribution to theology and pastoral life.

Held in the main hall of the Dar il-Ħanin Samaritan Conference Centre, the launch opened with a presentation by the editors, followed by a panel discussion featuring , Dr Daniella Zerafa, Mr Albert Debono and . The book launch concluded with addresses by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Rev. Prof. Stefan Attard, and the Chair of the MUP Editorial Board, Prof. Norbert Bugeja.

Guests then gathered for light refreshments in the venue’s beautiful grounds, before the evening concluded on a festive note with a celebration of Fr René’s birthday.

Bringing together contributions from 52 authors across 34 institutions in 19 countries, the two-volume collection explores the challenges and possibilities of faith in a changing world. Its contributions are organised around five overarching themes: reframing theology, becoming Church, journeying together, engaging difference, and flourishing beyond.
