Bringing together students, graduates, professionals and those interested in Arabic dialectology, dialectal geography, phonology, morphology and syntax, code-switching, Arabic-based koiné languages, pidgins and creoles, the lexicon of Arabic dialects, dialect atlases, comparative and diachronic studies, and sociolinguistics, the 15th AIDA (Association Internationale de Dialectologie Arabe) will take place, physically, at ½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ’s Valletta Campus.
This year’s edition is a collaboration between the Faculty of Arts’&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Department of Maltese, the Department of Middle Eastern & Asian Languages & Cultures, the Institute of Linguistics & Language Technology.
Previous AIDA Conferences were held in Granada, Kutaisi, Marseille, Bucharest, Doha, Pescara, Colchester, Vienna, Hammamet, Cadiz, Marrakech, Cambridge and Paris.
