| DESCRIPTION | The dissertation typically involves extensive research and analysis on a topic related to the complex operations, strategic management, and logistical challenges of modern port and maritime industries. Students will be required to submit a research proposal detailing the intended research question, methodology, and literature review, which is then evaluated for feasibility and academic rigour. Following approval, students undertake the dissertation, a significant piece of original research that assesses their ability to conduct independent research, analyse data, and present findings coherently. The process culminates in an oral defence, where students may present their research findings and respond to questions from a panel of experts, demonstrating their in-depth knowledge and ability to engage in scholarly discourse.
