| DESCRIPTION | The aim of the dissertation is for a student to identify and undertake an appropriate area of research, including setting out a research problem and paying particular attention to its relevance to geography. In addition, the selection of the appropriate site/s where the investigation is to be undertaken is of vital importance. Learning Outcomes: Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: The student should by the end of the study-unit be able to select the appropriate geographical epistemologies, methodologies and techniques for the particular topic and critically evaluate and present the data generated in appropriate formats and analyze and interpret the findings in the light of existing knowledge.
