| DESCRIPTION | This course provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills required to establish, manage, and sustain a voluntary organisation in Malta. It covers the legal and regulatory framework, governance, financial management, fundraising, volunteer engagement, and strategic planning. Participants will be guided on how to build effective and accountable organisations that create positive impact within their communities. Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: - Understand better the role and operation of voluntary organisations within the Maltese context. - Identify the legal, governance, and compliance requirements for establishing and running a voluntary organisation. - Know about good practices in leadership, financial management, fundraising, and volunteer engagement. - Contribute to the development of strategic plans that help support organisational effectiveness, sustainability, and community impact. - Become knowledgeable of local support structures of voluntary organisations, including funding schemes, training initiatives and other tools. |
