Date: Wednesday 25 November 2026
Time: 08:30-17:00
Venue: IPES Main Hall, MOC/IPES Complex, University of Malta, Msida
How is Artificial Intelligence transforming sport, and how can emerging technologies support athletes, coaches and sport scientists?
STRN-SportTech 2026 brings together researchers, academics, students, athletes, coaches, sporting organisations and technology professionals to explore the intersection of AI, sport science and human performance.
The symposium will feature research presentations on AI in Sport Performance and Computer Vision in Sport, technology demonstrations, a Student Innovation Expo, an interdisciplinary panel discussing “Where should technology sit in the high-performance process?”, and dedicated networking roundtables designed to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.
Register, present your research or showcase your project!
We invite undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, academics and professionals to participate in the symposium.
There are several ways to get involved:
Attend the symposium: Discover emerging research, explore technologies and connect with the sporting and research communities.
Give a research talk: Share your work, research findings or ongoing projects relating to AI, technology, sport science or human performance.
Showcase a project or demonstration: Present a working prototype, student project, innovative technology or ongoing research during the Technology Showcase & Student Innovation Expo.
We particularly welcome contributions involving AI, computer vision, wearable sensors, biomechanics, performance analysis, data analytics and related technologies. Projects do not need to be fully completed, and contributions from different disciplines are encouraged.
Participation is free of charge.
Programme and Registration details are available online.
Interested in giving a talk or showcasing your work? Please contact the organising team by email with a proposed title, a brief description of your contribution, and whether you would prefer a presentation or demonstration.
